GRAPHIC PRINT:
The graphic print trend has always been popular but is gaining momentum this year in a different way than years past. Instead of including graphic print as a small accent on a solid-colored piece, we're seeing big, bold, colorful graphic prints being used as a main attraction.
The poolside is the best place for anyone to sport graphic prints,as anyone can have fun with bright, funky prints on swimwear. Pair it with a sheer jumpsuit and some metallic sandals, and you are guaranteed to make a splash at any pool party. Also a fun way to rock the graphic print trend is to mix similar colored prints like these shorts and a jacket

COLLECTION REVIEW : Mumbai Rickshaw

INSPIRATION:
Inspiration strikes in the most unlikely of places. The designer had one such experience a few days ago while travelling in a humble auto rickshaw. It suddenly struck the designer that RICKSHAWS OF MUMBAI are an art in themselves. Auto rickshaws play an important role of public transport in Mumbai. There are 246,458 black and yellow metered auto rickshaws, often simply called 'Autos'.

COLLECTION:
The collection is inspired by the tough exteriors and soft humility of the rickshaws. The designer was inspired by the structure of rickshaw, tough and hard and the play of only two colours: BLACK and YELLOWTo stay true to the inspiration, the designer used the two colours in designs, yellow and black. These two simple colours make a statement. They define the vehicle. The collection is original, unconventional, unique and quirky for women, ranging between the age group of 20 to 35. The collection includes structured tops which are best suited to mature women and leather pants, spandex leggings, printed leggings and long skirts which can be styled with both Indian and Western wear.

FABRICS:
The fabrics used are flowy, airy and sheer i.e. Chiffon, Georgette which flatter all body types juxtaposed with leather, spandex, raw silk to lend a touch of edge.

CELEBO-FILE : Kiran Rao

Kiran Rao, when I think of her the first thing comes to my mind is the NERDY GLASSES. Those glasses go well with western attire , but definitely not with Indian wear. I love the way she carries herself in long straight fit kurtas, Shift dress, formal dress, casual dresses, dhoti pants, maxi dresses etc etc but when it comes to Indian, she completely forgets what flatters her body.

The ill fitted sleeves in the yellow and blue saree just killed the look of gorgeous sarees. The beige lehenga was far too lengthy and voluminous, but the top was it's saving grace. The pink and blue lehenga choli, was a total mismatch, right form 3/4th length velvet blouse, fuchsia lehenga with gotta patti lace and green duppatta, on top of that the neckpiece.
She has a lot of catching up to do with her dapper, perfectionist husband.

NOTE : The nerdy glasses on all pics.

What is your take on her?

REVIEW : Colorbar Waterproof liquid eyeliner

“The face is a picture of the mind with the eyes as its interpreter.” - Cicero. This line says what almost all of us instinctively feel: the eyes tell a lot about ourselves. The eyes are the most expressive part of persons's face. These days, there is not shortage of products available to make our eyes look even more dramatic. I am girl who loves to add drama to her eyes ;-).
I would never be caught dead without eye liner on my eyes. For me its a like having daily cup of tea :). I believe eye liner definitely makes a difference to your face, if you apply it correctly. Let me introduce you to this product which I use everyday, Colorbar Waterproof Liquid Eye liner.

WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS : The Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is long-lasting and does not smudge, crack, flake or peel. With its high definition flexible felt tip applicator, one stroke is enough to define a fine or thick line. Fast drying, Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is suitable for sensitive eyes and those who wear contact lenses too!

MRP : Rs.350 for 2.5ml

WHAT I SAY : Well, I agree to whatever the company is claiming. It is long-lasting, I wear it for almost 11 hrs everyday and it doesn't budge. It takes about 5-10 secs to dry. My daily routine involves lots of travelling in sun which makes my eye lids oily but the eye liner refuses to fade, nor it crack/flake/peel. The felt tip applicator is smooth, but applying a fine line is difficult as the applicator is thick and short. That's my only gripe. But again that's a personal choice. Here is the picture of Colorbar applicator and Mac applicator.

I know there is no comparison between MAC and Colorbar. I wish they would have made the applicator thin and long like MAC. Considering the price that I have paid, its a good product. And the bottle will last you for 2 months approx.

COMPARED TO OTHER BRANDS : In comparison to liquid eye liners of other brands, in the same price range, Lakme , Revlon, Chambor, Maybelline. This one scores for me as its matte. I want my eye liner to be matte and its jet black. So considering the pros and cons. Its a good product.

How do you feel about this product? Have you tried it?
